My exposure to baseball began at birth with my father, Dick Fishbaugh, and his 34 years of coaching success at the college level. I literally grew up in a dugout. My own experience includes 4 years of softball at Florida Southern, where I earned numerous athletic awards. I continued my education by obtaining a MA from The Ohio State University in Business Administration/Sports Management. My sister is also currently a Division I softball coach. Combined, my father and sister are the winningest father/daughter combination in NCAA history, as Head Baseball and Softball Coaches respectively. And ever since I can remember, the only business I have ever known is the game of baseball. So naturally, I took over the family business called Grand Slam USA.

My father began breaking down swings on video-tape long before anyone else thought of it. Many often tell me my father was well ahead of his time in his knowledge and ability to analyze, breakdown and fix any swing. And I was there every step of the way, learning and absorbing everything. Since the early 70's, Grand Slam USA has provided young athletes throughout Ohio with quality baseball and softball instruction. My father's passion for the game lives today through me and Grand Slam USA, by teaching kids to love and respect the game of baseball.

The Grand Slam USA legend continues to be built around the baseball analogy for life--a philosophy that suggests that producing winning teams and winning individuals takes not only an ability to see, understand, and communicate skills, but the perseverance, dedication, teamwork and toughness to fight through adversity to reach any goal that's worth having. One needs to look no further than the game of baseball to instill discipline and integrity.

These students become our next generation of future coaches, umpires, teachers, and most importantly, quality people.
