The Secret of Success - Fundamentals
The
Annual Catchers Off-Season Training Program at Otterbein College's Rike Center is one of Grand Slam's finest programs.
The camp is conducted by Scott Burke, head coach at Fairfield Union, and his staff. Coach Burke teaches the fundamentals
of catching such as receiving, blocking, bunt coverage’s, framing, calling pitches, throwing velocity and quickness
of ball release will be perfected. This camp is ideal for catchers who want to take their game to the next level.
Ball concentration and mental discipline will be stressed in the development of the defensive skills of the game. Players
are expected to bring all catching equipment every week. This camp is a great opportunity to learn new skills as well
as ensure weekly practice to keep skills sharp all year long in a great indoor facility. Remember, now is the time to
work on fundamentals while you don't have to worry about the next game. You can take time to work on the little things.
Only 6 catchers per instructor.
