Playing Experience:

•3 seasons as a captain player for the Ohio Bobcats and participated in the World Series (1970)
•Led the team with a .367 avg. and was a Second-Team All-MAC selection
•Signed with Kansas City (1970), played for kingsport and waterloo in the Royals’ organization
•Received Hall of Fame recognition from different organizations. Most notably the Kermit Blosser Ohio University Hall of Fame, inducted in 2011 as a player and coach
•Inducted into the GLSCL Hall of Fame during the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star game
•Named to the George Whitfield Baseball Clinic Hall of Fame for his role as a speaker at the annual event
 

Coaching Experience:

•24 years career as Ohio University Baseball head coach
•Career record of 689 total wins placing him 2nd all-time in MAC history
•Won 2 Mid-American Conference titles, 1997 season producing most wins ever by an Ohio baseball team in 1 season with 43
•12 individual and 19 team records with the Bobcats, led the NCAA in home runs as a team (122)
•Named MAC coach of the year twice (1991, 1997) and Mideast Region Coach of the year
•43 players signed professional baseball contracts and 8 players achieved All-America Status
•Has coached 44 First team ALL MAC and 33 All Mideast performers during his 22 years at Ohio
•USA baseball, assistant coach for 1999 team that competed in the Pan-Am Games in Winnipeg, Canada
•17 tears as an assistant coach at Marshall, Toledo and Ohio State
•General Manager of the Columbus All-Americans, while helping to develop the Great L:akes Summer Collegiate League in Michigan, OH
